    Journal of Nigerian Inquiry in the Humanities (NIITH) is a biannual Journal published by Ekiti State University, Office of Research, Development and Innovation. The Journal aims at periodically exhibiting and advertising the potential of research results within and outside the university as well as promoting dissemination of intellectual publications generally. The Journal, which is multidisciplinary and multicultural in nature, covers the Arts, Social Sciences, Education, Law, Management and Administration. It serves as a platform for academicians, researchers, professionals, practitioners and students in the Humanities to impart and share knowledge in the forms of high quality practical, empirical and theoretical research papers, case studies, literature review and book reviews etc. from all over the world.

     

    Guidelines for Submission

     Full Length Article:

    Only original articles that have not been published elsewhere are invited.

    1. The officially recognized medium of communication in the Journal is British English
    2. Manuscripts should not exceed 15-20
    3. An abstract of 100-200 words should be included
    4. Keywords of not more than 5 (five) words should be
    5. Manuscripts should be typed in double-line spacing using Microsoft Word on A4 size paper using 12 font size (Times News Roman Type)
    6. All quotations should be in single-line spacing and should be of the same font size and style as in the main paper.
    7. Author's name, designation, affiliation and contacts (e.g. cell-phone lines, e-mail addresses) should be written on a separate and first sheet of the article
    8. Tables should be clearly typed using the MS Word Table All illustrations (photographs, drawings, graphs etc.), excluding tables should be in 2 decimal places and levels of significance clearly stated. Where applicable, the SI units should be used.
    9. Except for reviewed articles, text should normally be divided into sections g. Title page, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results and Discussions, Recommendations /Suggestions, Conclusion, Acknowledgments, References.
    10. References cited should be compiled alphabetically following the APA style at the end of Please visit www.apastyle.org to learn more about APA style

     

    Short Communication:

    This is limited to a maximum of two figures and one table. They should present a complete study that is more limited in scope than is found in the full length papers. The items of manuscript preparation listed above apply to short communication with the following difference:

    1. Abstract are limited to 100 words
    2. Instead of a separate materials and methods section, process of data collection/ procedure may be incorporated into figure legends and table footnotes
    3. Results and discussion should be combined into one section

     

    Peer Review of Article

    There is a review process of manuscripts by independent referees who are conversant with the pertinent subject area.

    Authors should strive for maximum clarity of expression. Material which is not essential to the continuity of the text (e.g., proofs, derivations, or calculations) should be placed in Appendices

    Material which has been previously copyrighted, published, or accepted for publications will not be considered for publication in the Journal.

    The editorial board is highly committed to the quick review process of articles, but not with the sacrifice of the right judgment of a paper. The review process takes maximum of six weeks.

     

    Procedure for Manuscript Acceptance for Publication

    Once the reviewers assessment are received, authors would be make necessary changes as indicated in the text and the reviewer’s form.

     

    Editorial Board

    Shall review manuscripts accepted and publish them within 3 months after submission. The Board comprises of Chairman, Editor-in Chief, Managing Editor and Editorial Advisers drawn from cognate disciplines, industries, research institutes, professionals, educators and policy makers within and outside Nigeria.

    Page Charge Proof and Reprints

    Corresponding author will be contacted via e-mail attached as PDF files for final corrections of the manuscript. This volume of NIITH is sponsored by Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund). With the exception of minor typographical errors, no changes will be made on the manuscript at the proof stage. A hard copy of the appropriate section would be provided for the corresponding author of each paper.

    NIITH is available both in print (hardcopy) and online (softcopy) format at ord.eksu.edu.ng Online accessibility is free.

     

     

     

     

    Referencing

    References should be arranged first alphabetically and then further sorted chronologically if necessary. More than one reference from the same author(s) in the same year must be identified by the letters “a”, “b”, “c”, etc. placed after the year of publication.

    Tables and Figures

    Figures should be original and of good quality. Tables and Figures should be numbered consecutively and be accompanied by a heading/title. Each table and figure must be referred to in the manuscript and be positioned after the first paragraph where they are mentioned.

    GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSION

    Full Length Article:

    Only original articles that have not been published elsewhere are invited.

    1. The officially recognized medium of communication in the Journal is British English
    2. Manuscripts should not exceed 15-20
    3. Title should be written in initial capitals and boldened with no full stop at the end
    4. An abstract of 100-200 words (written in single line spacing in italics) should be included
    5. Keywords should not be more than 5(five)
    6. Manuscripts should be typed in double-line spacing using Microsoft Word on A4 size paper using 12 font size (Times News Roman Type)
    7. All quotations should be in single-line spacing and should be of the same font size and style as in the main
    8. Author's name, designation, affiliation and contacts (e.g. cell-phone lines, e-mail addresses) should be written on a separate and first sheet of the article sent to NIITH for review
    9. Tables should be clearly typed using the MS Word Table Template. All illustrations (photographs, drawings, graphs etc.), excluding tables should be in 2 decimal places and levels of significance clearly Where applicable, the SI units should be used.

    x          For in-text citations, use 'and' to join two or more authors in an author prominent reference

    e.g. Olu, and Ade, (2020). Use ampersand (&) to join two or more authors in an information prominent citation e.g (Olu, & Ajayi, 2020). Use ampersand only to join authors in the reference list
