    EKSU Journal of Nigeria Inquiry in the Humanities (NIITH) is a biannual Journal published by Ekiti State University, Office of Research, Development and Innovation. The Journal aims at periodically exhibiting and advertising the potential of research results within and outside the university as well as promoting dissemination of intellectual publications generally. The Journal, which is multidisciplinary and multicultural in nature, covers the Arts, Social Sciences, Education, Law, Management and Administration. It serves as a platform for academicians, researchers, professionals, practitioners and students in the Humanities to impart and share knowledge in the forms of high quality practical, empirical and theoretical research papers, case studies, literature review and book reviews etc. from all over the world.

    GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSION

    Full Length Article:

    Only original articles that have not been published elsewhere are invited.

    1. The officially recognized medium of communication in the Journal is British English
    2. Manuscripts should not exceed 15-20
    3. Title should be written in initial capitals and boldened with no full stop at the end
    4. An abstract of 100-200 words (written in single line spacing in italics) should be included
    5. Keywords should not be more than 5(five)
    6. Manuscripts should be typed in double-line spacing using Microsoft Word on A4 size paper using 12 font size (Times News Roman Type)
    7. All quotations should be in single-line spacing and should be of the same font size and style as in the main
    8. Author's name, designation, affiliation and contacts (e.g. cell-phone lines, e-mail addresses) should be written on a separate and first sheet of the article sent to NIITH for review
    9. Tables should be clearly typed using the MS Word Table Template. All illustrations (photographs, drawings, graphs etc.), excluding tables should be in 2 decimal places and levels of significance clearly Where applicable, the SI units should be used.

    x          For in-text citations, use 'and' to join two or more authors in an author prominent reference

    e.g. Olu, and Ade, (2020). Use ampersand (&) to join two or more authors in an information prominent citation e.g (Olu, & Ajayi, 2020). Use ampersand only to join authors in the reference list

    1. Except for reviewed articles, text should normally be divided into sections e.g. Title page, I n t r o d u c t i o n , M a t e r i a l s a n d M e t h o d s , R e s u l t s  a n d  D i s c u s s i o n s , Recommendations/Suggestions, Conclusion, Acknowledgments,
    2. Use top and bottom borders only for all tables
    3. Use APA 7th edition for both in-text and reference list. References cited should be compiled alphabetically following the APA style at the end of manuscript. Please visit www.apastyle.org to learn more about APA style

     

    Short Communication:

    This is limited to a maximum of two figures and one table. They should present a complete study that is more limited in scope than is found in the full length papers. The items of manuscript preparation listed above apply to short communication with the following difference:

    1. Abstract are limited to 100 words
    2. Instead of a separate materials and methods section, process of data collection/procedure may be incorporated into figure legends and table footnotes
    3. Results and discussion should be combined into one section

     

    Peer Review of Article

    There is a review process of manuscripts by independent referees who are conversant with the pertinent subject area. Authors should strive for maximum clarity of expression. Material which is not essential to the continuity of the text (e.g., proofs, derivations, or calculations) should be placed in Appendices

     

    Material which has been previously copyrighted, published, or accepted for publications will not be considered for publication in the Journal.

    The editorial board is highly committed to the quick review process of articles, but not with the sacrifice of the right, judgment of a paper. The review process takes maximum of six weeks.

     

    Procedure for Manuscript Acceptance for Publication

    Once the reviewer's assessment is received, authors would be requested to make necessary changes as indicated in the text and the reviewer's form.

     

    Editorial Board

    Shall review manuscripts accepted and publish them within 3 months after submission. The Board comprises of Chairman, Editor-in Chief, Managing Editor and Editorial Advisers drawn from cognate disciplines, industries, research institutes, professionals, educators and policy makers within and outside Nigeria.

    Page Charge Proof and Reprints

    Corresponding author will be contacted via e-mail attached as PDF files for final corrections of the manuscript. This volume of NIITH Is sponsored by Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund). With the exception of minor typographical errors, no changes will be made on the manuscript at the proof stage. A hard copy of the appropriate section would be provided for the corresponding author of each paper at no charge.

    Referencing

    References should be arranged first alphabetically and then further sorted chronologically if necessary. More than one reference from the same author(s) in the same year must be specified by the letters “a", ''b'', ''e'', etc. placed after the year of publication.

    Tables and Figures

    Figures should be original and of good quality. Tables and figures should be numbered consecutively and be accompanied by a heading/title. Each table and figure must be referred to in the manuscript and be positioned after the first paragraph where they are mentioned. The tables should only contain top and bottom borders.

    The Nigerian Journal of the Social Sciences (NUSS), is an official quarterly Journal of the Faculty of the Social Sciences, Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti, Nigeria. The aim of the Journal is to provide a forum for the dissemination of findings and reports from theoretical works and empirical researches in Economics, Geography and Planning Science, Sociology, Psychology and Behavioural Science, Political Science, Tourism and Recreation and other areas of Social and Management Sciences.

    As a university-based Journal, it is double blind peer re-viewed. It publishes theoretical, empirical and experimental papers that contribute significantly to knowledge in the disciplines of Social and Management Sciences. This, we intend to achieve by using a wide range of research methods, including statistical tools, analytical work, case studies, field research, literature surveys and historical analysis. Articles accepted will be published in the issue of the current volume. The Journal therefore welcomes the submission of manuscripts from both academics and research scholars that meet the general scope and criteria for publication in the Journal. All references must be in the current APA Format. In addition, authors are carried along adequately in all the publication processes in line with our highly rigorous peer-review policy.

    Editorial Policy

    The NIGERIAN JOURNAL OF THE SOCIAL SCIENCES is a forum for intellectual dialogue among scholars in the field of the Social Sciences and related disciplines especially in developing and Third World countries. Specifically, it is an avenue for the dissemination of research reports in Economics, Geography, Urban and Regional Planning, Political Science, Sociology, Psychology and other disciplined in Social and Management Sciences and Humanities.     i  Three copies of the manuscript should be submitted, each copy of which must be typed on one side of A4 sized paper only and double spaced.

    1. Manuscript should not exceed twenty pages, including notes, reference, table and chart
    2. The cover page of each manuscript should contain title of papers, names(s) and additional of author(s)
    3. An abstract of not more than 120 words typed single spaced on a separate sheet book precede the main text. The short abstract should summarize the main argument of the article
    4. Bibliographical references should be indicated in the text using the author data style with page numbers where necessary. All reference must adopt America psychological Associate (APA) current style and reference pattern.
    5. Table and charts should be placed as close as possible to relevant discussion. End noted should be numbered consequently, and should not solely comprise references.
    6. Manuscript which do not conform to these guidelines may be returned

    EKSU Journal of Science and Technology (EJST) is a biannual Journal published by Ekiti State University, Office of Research, Development and Innovation. The Journal aims at periodically exhibiting and advertising the potential of research results within and outside the university as well as promoting dissemination of intellectual publications generally. The Journal, which is multidisciplinary and multicultural in nature covers the publication of original findings in Science and Engineering. It serves as a platform for academics, researchers, professionals, practitioners and students in the Science and Technology field to impart and share knowledge in the form of high quality practical, empirical and theoretical research papers, case studies, literature review and book reviews etc. from all over the world.

    Ekiti State University has been publishing journals at the Faculty and Departmental levels, But there is no university based journal. As part of the mandate of Ekiti State University, Office of Research, Development and Innovation (EKSUORD) to periodically exhibit and advertise the potentials of research results within the University as well as promoting the dissemination of intellectual publications generally, EKSUORDI announces the publication of a Science and Engineering based University journal EKSU Journal of Science and Technology (EJST). The Journal which is an international academic journal provides a platform natural, agricultural, environmental, medical scientists and engineers as well as technologists to share and expand the knowledge of scientific advancements in the myriad disciplines of science and engineering and applied aspects.

     

    1. AIMS AND FOCUS

    EKSU Journal of Science and Technology aims to publish and disseminate original papers that:

    1. address ethical or socioeconomic issues relating to modern agricultural and environmental science as applicable to developing countries;
    2. contribute to the development of science and technology for economic advancement;
    3. innovate near market or market ready technologies and processes
    4. publish research findings on current topical issues in science and engineering of interest to both public and private

     

    1. SCOPE

    EJST will publish peer reviewed original research and critical reviews on agriculture, human nutrition or human health, scientific or technological information, with particular emphasis on interdisciplinary studies that explore the intersection of agriculture, science, engineering and environment.

     

    1. DOMICILIATION

    The Journal is domiciled in the Office of Research, Development and Innovation, Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti.

     

    1. SECTION

    In order to encourage researchers to publish their research articles in the field of Science and Technology, the following sections are introduced:

    Section C - (Engineering and Technology) Section D - (Medical Sciences)

    Section E-(Environmental Sciences)

     

    1. FREQUENCY

    The frequency of the journal is bienial.

     

    1. REVIEW PROCESS

    There shall be a review process of manuscripts by independent referees who are conversant and versatile in the pertinent subject area.

    Authors should strive for maximum clarity of expression. Material which is not essential to the continuity of the text (e.g., proofs, derivations, or calculations) should be placed in Appendices Materials which have been previously copyrighted, published, or accepted for publication will not be considered for publication in the journal.

    The editorial board is highly committed to the quick review process of the paper, but not with the sacrifice of the right judgment of a paper. The review process takes maximum of six weeks.

     

    1. PROCEDURE FOR MANUSCRIPTACCEPTANCE FOR PUBLICATION

    The manuscript would be sent to three (3) reviewers, of which two (2) of the reviewers' comment must be positive before acceptance, and the authors would have to effect all the corrections pointed out by the reviewers in the reviewers form.

     

    1. PAGE CHARGE PROOFAND REPRINTS

    Manuscript should be submitted as e-mail attachment to the corresponding author who will be contacted via e-mail on the corrections of the manuscript. This volume of EJST is sponsored by Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund). With the exception of minor typographical errors, no changes will be made on the manuscript at the proof stage. A hard copy of the appropriate section and five (5) off prints would be provided for the corresponding author of each paper.

    • ARTICLE TYPES

    Regular Articles, short communication, and review will be acceptable for publication in the journal.

     

    1. INFORMATION /GUIDES FOR AUTHOR
      1. The title page should bear the author's full names and affiliation of the names of corresponding author along with phone. fax and e-mail information. Present addresses of authors should appear as a
      2. Abstract should be informative and self-explanatory. Should be 100-200 words in length Abstract should be written in past tense-standard nomenclature should be used.

     

    Abbreviation should be avoided and no literature should be cited. List of nonstandard abbreviation should be added.

    1. Manuscript should not exceed 15-20
    2. Introduction should provide a clear statement of the problem, the relevant literature on the subject, and the proposed approach or
    3. Materials and methods should be complete enough to allow experiments to be reproduced and results written in past tense should be presented with clarity and
    4. Results should be explained, but largely without referring to the
    5. Discussion should interprete findings in view of results obtained in present and past studies on the
    6. Conclusion should be stated in few sentences at the end of the
    7. Acknowledgment of people, grant, funds should be
    8. Manuscript should be typed in double-line spacing with microsoft word on A4 size paper using 12 font size (Time New Roman)
    9. Table should be kept to a minimum, and are to be typed double line-spaced through outincluding headings and The same data should not be presented in both table andgraph form or repeated in the text.

    l    Figure legend should be typed in numerical order on a separate sheet.

    1. Graphics should be prepared using applications capable of generating high resolution Gif., TIFF, JPEG or Microsoft PowerPoint before pasting in Microsoft world manuscript
    2. In the text, a reference identified by means of an author's name should be followed by the date of the reference in parentheses. When there are more than two authors' names mentioned, it should be the first author followed by et al. In the event that an author cited has two or more works published during the same year, the reference, both in text and in the reference list, should be identified by a lower case letter like, a' and, b'after the date to distinguish the works. Example: Abayomi (2000), Agindotan et al. (2003), (Kelebeni, 1983), (Usman and Smith, 1992), (Chege, 1998;

    Chukwura, 1987 a, b; Tijani 1993, 1995), (Kumasi et al., 2001).

     

    References should be listed at the end of the paper in alphabetical order. Articles In preparation or articles submitted for publication, unpublished observations, Personal communications date, etc, should not be included in the reference but should only be mentioned in the article text (eg. A. Kingory, University of Nairobi, Kenya, personal communication, date) Journal names are abbreviated according to chemical abstracts.

    2. Instead of a separate materials and methods section, experimental procedures may be incorporated into fiqure legends and table footnotes;

These we achieve by using a wide range of research methods including statistical analysis, analytical work, case studies, field research, literature surveys and historical analysis. Articles examining significant research questions from a broad range in Accounting, Banking and Finance, Economics, Management, Marketing, Insurance, Education and other related fields are encouraged to be sent.

    All papers are subjected to peer-review by members of the editorial board or other senior academics by the use of double blind peer review system. If accepted, the papers will be published in the issue of the current volume.     Journal of Nigerian Inquiry in the Humanities (NIITH) is a biannual Journal published by Ekiti State University, Office of Research, Development and Innovation. The Journal aims at periodically exhibiting and advertising the potential of research results within and outside the university as well as promoting dissemination of intellectual publications generally. The Journal, which is multidisciplinary and multicultural in nature, covers the Arts, Social Sciences, Education, Law, Management and Administration. It serves as a platform for academicians, researchers, professionals, practitioners and students in the Humanities to impart and share knowledge in the forms of high quality practical, empirical and theoretical research papers, case studies, literature review and book reviews etc. from all over the world.

     

    Guidelines for Submission

     Full Length Article:

    Only original articles that have not been published elsewhere are invited.

    1. The officially recognized medium of communication in the Journal is British English
    2. Manuscripts should not exceed 15-20
    3. An abstract of 100-200 words should be included
    4. Keywords of not more than 5 (five) words should be
    5. Manuscripts should be typed in double-line spacing using Microsoft Word on A4 size paper using 12 font size (Times News Roman Type)
    6. All quotations should be in single-line spacing and should be of the same font size and style as in the main paper.
    7. Author's name, designation, affiliation and contacts (e.g. cell-phone lines, e-mail addresses) should be written on a separate and first sheet of the article
    8. Tables should be clearly typed using the MS Word Table All illustrations (photographs, drawings, graphs etc.), excluding tables should be in 2 decimal places and levels of significance clearly stated. Where applicable, the SI units should be used.
    9. Except for reviewed articles, text should normally be divided into sections g. Title page, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results and Discussions, Recommendations /Suggestions, Conclusion, Acknowledgments, References.
    10. References cited should be compiled alphabetically following the APA style at the end of Please visit www.apastyle.org to learn more about APA style

     

    Short Communication:

    This is limited to a maximum of two figures and one table. They should present a complete study that is more limited in scope than is found in the full length papers. The items of manuscript preparation listed above apply to short communication with the following difference:

    1. Abstract are limited to 100 words
    2. Instead of a separate materials and methods section, process of data collection/ procedure may be incorporated into figure legends and table footnotes
    3. Results and discussion should be combined into one section

     

    Peer Review of Article

    There is a review process of manuscripts by independent referees who are conversant with the pertinent subject area.

    Authors should strive for maximum clarity of expression. Material which is not essential to the continuity of the text (e.g., proofs, derivations, or calculations) should be placed in Appendices

    Material which has been previously copyrighted, published, or accepted for publications will not be considered for publication in the Journal.

    The editorial board is highly committed to the quick review process of articles, but not with the sacrifice of the right judgment of a paper. The review process takes maximum of six weeks.

     

    Procedure for Manuscript Acceptance for Publication

    Once the reviewers assessment are received, authors would be make necessary changes as indicated in the text and the reviewer’s form.

     

    Editorial Board

    Shall review manuscripts accepted and publish them within 3 months after submission. The Board comprises of Chairman, Editor-in Chief, Managing Editor and Editorial Advisers drawn from cognate disciplines, industries, research institutes, professionals, educators and policy makers within and outside Nigeria.

    Corresponding author will be contacted via e-mail attached as PDF files for final corrections of the manuscript. This volume of NIITH is sponsored by Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund). With the exception of minor typographical errors, no changes will be made on the manuscript at the proof stage. A hard copy of the appropriate section would be provided for the corresponding author of each paper.

    References should be arranged first alphabetically and then further sorted chronologically if necessary. More than one reference from the same author(s) in the same year must be identified by the letters “a”, “b”, “c”, etc. placed after the year of publication.

    Ekiti State University has been publishing journals at the Faculty, Departmental levels and University. As part of the mandate of Ekiti State University, Office of Research, Development and Innovation (EKSUORDI) to periodically exhibit and advertise the potentials of research results within the University as well as promoting the dissemination of intellectual publications generally, EKSUORDI announces the publication of a Science and Engineering based University journal. EKSU Journal of Science and Technology (EJST). The Journal which is an international academic journal provides a platform for natural, agricultural, environmental, medical scientists and engineers as well as technologists to share and expand the knowledge of scientific advancements in the myriad disciplines of science and engineering and applied aspects/fields.

     

    1. AIMS AND FOCUS

    EKSU Journal of Science and Technology aims to publish and disseminate original papers that:

    1. address ethical or socioeconomic issues relating to modern agricultural and environmental science as applicable to developing countries;
    2. contribute to the development of science and technology for economic advancement;
    3. innovate near market or market ready technologies and processes
    4. publish research findings on current topical issues in science and engineering of interest to both public and private sectors.

     

    1. SCOPE

    EJST will publish peer reviewed original research and critical reviews on agriculture, human nutrition or human health, scientific or technological information, with particular emphasis on interdisciplinary studies that explore the intersection of agriculture, science, engineering and environment.

     

    1. DOMICILIATION

    The Journal is domiciled in the Office of Research, Development and Innovation, Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti.

    In order to encourage researchers to publish their research articles in the field of Science and Technology, the following sections are introduced:

    Section C - (Engineering and Technology) Section D - (Medical Sciences)

    Section E - (Environmental Sciences)

    1. FREQUENCY

    The frequency of the journal is bienial.

    The manuscript would be sent to three (3) reviewers, of which two (2) of the reviewers’ comment must be positive before acceptance, and the authors would have to effect all the corrections pointed out by the reviewers in the reviewers form.

    Manuscript should be submitted as e-mail attachment to the corresponding author who will be contacted via e-mail on the corrections of the manuscript.     1. ARTICLE TYPES

    Regular Articles, short communication, and review will be acceptable for publication in the journal.

    1. INFORMATION /GUIDES FOR AUTHOR
      1. The title page should bear the author’s full names and affiliation of the names of corresponding author along with phone, fax and e-mail Present addresses of authors should appear as a footnote.
      2. Abstract should be informative and self-explanatory. Should be 100-200 words in Abstract should be written in past tense-standard nomenclature should be used.

     

    Abbreviation should be avoided and no literature should be cited. List of nonstandard abbreviation should be added.

    1. Manuscript should not exceed 15-20
    2. Introduction should provide a clear statement of the problem, the relevant literature on the subject, and the proposed approach or solution.
    3. Materials and methods should be complete enough to allow experiments to be reproduced, and results written in past tense should be presented with clarity
    4. Results should be explained, but largely without referring to the
    5. Discussion should interprete findings in view of results obtained in present and past studies on the topic.
    6. Conclusion should be stated in few sentences at the end of the

    12. In the text, a reference identified by means of an author’s name should be followed by the date of the reference in parentheses. When there are more than two authors’ names mentioned, it should be the first author followed by et al. In the event that an author cited has two or more works published during the same year, the reference, both in text and in the reference list, should be identified by a lower case letter like, a’ and, b’ after the date to distinguish the works. Example: Abayomi (2000), Agindotan et al. (2003), (Kelebeni, 1983), (Usman and Smith, 1992), (Chege, 1998; Chukwura, 1987 a, b; Tijani

    1993, 1995), (Kumasi et al., 2001).

    References should be listed at the end of the paper in alphabetical order. Articles in preparation or articles submitted for publication, unpublished observations, personal communications date, etc, should not be included in the reference but should only be mentioned in the article text (e.g. A. Kingory, University of Nairobi, Kenya, personal communication, date) Journal names are abbreviated according to chemical abstracts.

    The Nigerian Journal of Banking and Financial Issues (NJBFI) provides a unique forum for the articulation and dissemination of applied research by academics and professionals in the field of Banking and Finance or related disciplines. It is a bi-annual Journal published by the Department of Finance, Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti, Nigeria.

    Interested contributors are invited to submit well researched papers which have not been published either in whole or part in any journal.

     

    • Three copies of the manuscript should be submitted, each copy of which must be typed on one

    side of A4 sized paper only and double spaced.

    • Manuscript should not exceed twenty pages, including notes, references, table and chart.
    • The cover page of each manuscript should contain title of papers, names(s) and additional

    authors(s).and affliations.

    • An abstract of not more than 120 words typed single spaced on a separate sheet preceding the

    main text. The short abstract should summarize the main argument of the article.

    • Bibliographical references should be indicated in the text using the author date style with page

    numbers where necessary. All reference must adopt America psychological Associate (APA)

    7th edition and reference pattern.

    • Table and charts should be placed as close as possible to relevant discussion.
    • Manuscript which do not conform to these guidelines may be returned unprocessed.
